As part of its expansion plan, our client is looking to hire a logistics supervisor that will be responsible for overseeing the efficient movement and coordination of goods from origin to destination.

Job Description

Supervise day-to-day logistics operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
Ensure that shipments are prepared, loaded, and delivered in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
Assign tasks and schedules to ensure smooth flow of logistics operations.
Monitor performance and provide feedback to staff, conducting regular training and development sessions.
Ensure that inventory is properly received, managed, and tracked using relevant software.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and delivery notes.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, and company policies.
Oversee the onboarding of individual and corporate agents for delivery.
Work with customers to address delivery queries, delays, or other logistics-related issues.
Identify and implement process improvements to optimize logistics efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure all logistics operations adhere to company safety standards and government regulations.
Conduct regular safety checks and audits, ensuring proper handling and transportation of goods.
Address and resolve any compliance issues or concerns related to transportation and storage.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience (3+ years) in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in logistics software and systems

Additional Information

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Familiarity with transportation regulations, safety procedures, and customs documentation.
Experience in working fast-paced start-up company will be an added advantage.
Willingness to travel
