Having started operations in 1989 in Jos, we have grown and now have 3 additional stores in Abuja and 1 in Lagos, with the intention of expanding to other parts of the country within the next 5 years. We are seeking to strengthen our HR department with the recruitment of a HR & Admin Officer. Working out of Abuja, the successful candidate will possess exceptional planning and organizational skills, relevant experience in human resources management and office administration.

Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for executing Administrative and Human Resources responsibilities for the organization including the following:
Support the Human Resources Department during recruitments by screening, testing, and interviewing applicants
Organize and co-ordinate new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs
Initiate the salary payment process and ensure prompt payment of salaries
Manage all Human Resource operational issues including leave management, performance management, discipline administration etc.
Interface with the company’s lawyers for all relevant matters
Design and maintain forms, templates, logs, etc. required for workforce management
Prepare reports and presentations on Human Resource-related metrics (headcount, promotions, departures, etc.)
Ensure all facilities and utilities are well maintained and in good working condition at all times.
Functional supervision of support personnel (driver, security, etc.)
Manage and update all Administrative and Human Resource databases
Understand and correctly interpret the company’s Employee Handbook
Arrange travel, accommodations and logistics requirements for the organization
Periodic preparations of operational reports to the Finance and Human Resources Manager as per agreed timelines and schedule
This position reports directly to the Finance and Human Resources Manager.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or relevant field
Minimum of one year hr or administrative support experience
Microsoft suite experience
High degree of professionalism, maturity and confidentiality.
Strong oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Strong leadership and people skills - building collaborative relationships, demonstrated teamwork skill.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High Emotional Intelligence Quotient
