Accountant

Responsibilities:Manage all accounting transactions and provide financial information to management by researching andanalyzing accounting data, preparing reportsPrepare budgetforecastsPrepare, examine andpublish financial statements in timeHandle monthly,quarterly and annual closingsReconcile accountspayable and receivableEnsure timely bankpaymentsCompute taxes andprepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other taxrequirementsManage balance sheetsand profit/loss statementsReport on thecompany's financial health and liquidityReinforce financialdata confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessaryComply with financialpolicies and regulationsRequirements for this role: (Very key)B.Sc. or HND in Finance, Accounting; Accounting Technician will be considered if very sound.ACCA required (ICAN a plus)Conversant with FIRS/LIRS LawsAbility to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervisionTo work and deliver on assigned tasks within strict deadlines.Skills:Minimum of 4 years Provenwork experience as an AccountantExperiencewith general ledger functions and solid understanding of accounting payable/receivableprinciples, and themonth-end/year-end close process;Proven ability tocalculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial recordsHands-on experiencewith spreadsheets and proprietary softwareProficiency inEnglish and in MS OfficeCustomer serviceorientation and negotiation skills with high sense of urgency in meeting goalsand deadlinesMust have effectivewritten and verbal communication skills to build strong interpersonalrelationships;NOTE:Onlyqualified candidates should send CV and applications in the body of the email.
