Key Responsibilities

Carries out all general accounting functions mainly the accounts receivable and accounts payable

Monitoring cash flow and preparing periodic/routine cash reports

Uses and is familiar with the Firm’s accounting software, manuals and procedures.

Responsible for the statutory deductions of PAYE Tax, Pension, Withholding Tax and VAT, and remittance to the relevant local authorities on a monthly basis.

Assists in the Firm’s debt collection efforts. Ensures receivables are paid in a timely manner.

Maintains proper inventory of the Firm’s assets through the Fixed Assets Register.

Cash management and cash & bank reconciliation

Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual management accounting reports

Qualification and Requirements

B.sc in Accounting or other related discipline.

Must have a minimum of three to five years relevant experience in an accounting function.

Computer literacy and ability to use Microsoft Office packages like MS Word & Excel

Must have knowledge of financial and accounting software applications particularly Sage accounting package

Must possess strong analytical skills

Must possess strong managerial and supervisory ability

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
